Peter Munson and the Board of Directors of Bright Future for Children are excited to announce the first distribution of funds raised from donations that people have made to the 6 Million Steps for Kids project. Tom Olschner, member of the BFFC board, was able to travel to La Libertad, El Salvador with a mission team from Arvada, Colorado, and present a check for $13,000 to Maria Gonzalez, Executive Director of the REMAR Children’s Home and Principal of the Olive School (K-12). REMAR had requested this money so that they could build administrative offices at the Olive School, which serves approximately 50 students from the children’s home and 230 students from the surrounding community. The construction of administrative offices, with a multi-purpose room above them, will give parents, teachers, and students the space to have important meetings.
We give thanks for all who have given money to 6 Million Steps for Kids and made the funding of this project at REMAR possible.
